Chief Meteorologist
Kate has been leading the weather team at KDRV in Medford, Oregon since 2014. She has experience with tropical and severe weather, as well as tornadoes. During her time in Oregon she has covered deadly wind storms, 100,000 acre wildfires, and historic snow events.
Since the age of nine, Kate has been fascinated with the atmosphere. What started as a fear of thunderstorms quickly spawned an intense curiosity—some things are less scary if you just know a little more about them. Eventually, this led her to go to the heart of the action, capping off her college career with two weeks storm chasing in the Plains.
